I've written before about my love of Japanese photographer Osamu Yokonami's work. He recently released a new collection of images, Assembly, that are truly beautiful.

Jessica Tremp's Iceland.

So, holy wow.

Melbourne photographer Jessica Tremp went to Iceland and I wish I went with her.  I have been a wee bit obsessed with visiting this wild country for quite a while and am determined to go sooooooon.

In the meantime, however, I have these incredible images to whet the ole appetite.

Check out Jessica's entire Icelandic series on her blog: part one, part two, part three and part four.

Myoung Ho Lee.

This is just one amazing image in a series by young South Korean artist, Myoung Ho Lee, which challenge our concept of reality and environment. And, they're just freaking beautiful.

Osamu Yokonami.

These pictures are just so so wonderful, don't you think? Photographer Osamu Yokonomi has captured the wild openness of childhood so brilliantly.

I would have happily dressed like this all day as a child. When I was very small, two or three, I christened myself Ownself. Ownself was my don't-f**k-with-me alter ego. When I look at these pics I can't help but giggle and remember Ownself fashion moments.

She would have loved all of these looks. As does the older version...Ownself Mark II is a bit obsessed.

Jessica Tremp.

If I was in Sydney I'd be going to this...

Pick up Sticks exhibition on until 22 December. Definitely worth a visit!

Rachel Lévy.

French artist Rachel Lévy is such a beautiful photographer. Instead of focusing on the typical overwhelming beauty of a flower in full bloom she waits and captures them in at the end of their fleeting lives.

She captures their adventures; you can see how one may have been caught in a few wind tunnels or had too much sunshine just like we humans.

She apparently only sources specific types of flowers from horticulturalists to ensure that the plants have aged naturally and have been exposed to the elements.

Magical.

The Man, The Image & The World

Australia's Queensland Art Gallery is currently playing host to 260 dear friends.

260 of Henri Cartier-Bresson's photographs to be exact - selected by Cartier-Bresson and long-time friend/publisher Robert Delpire for an exhibition at the Bibliothèque nationale de France Paris in 2003 before Cartier-Bresson’s death in 2004.

So special. QAG is also doing guided tours so check that out northern peeps.

Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Man, The Image & The World
27 August - 27 November 2011, Queensland Art Gallery.
